
Trogir in Croatia is a historic seaport on the Adriatic coast with 10,907 inhabitants. Trogir is situated around 25 km west of Split.
Trogir tradition goes back more than 2.300 years ago. Trogir is rich in culture which was created under the influence of the acient Greeks, Romans and Venetians. Trogir has so many palaces, churches and towers as well as a fort in the middle on the small island which lies between the mainland and the island of Ciovo.
The city's historic center has been a World Heritage Site since 1997 as an example of a city that has retained its overall plan for a good long period. Trogir town center is the best preserved Romanesque-Gothic area, not just in the Adriatic but throughout Central Europe.
