About 25 km norht of Split it is possible to visit the huge Cave Vranjača". The cave was discovered in 1903 and certainly worth a visit - it is one of the most beautiful caves in Dalmatia. The cave is 65 meters deep and 300 meters long. It is divided into 2 main chambers that are linked together by a corridor. In the upper part there has been found evidence that the cave has been inhabited for a few thounsand years ago. The actual cave is belived to be around 65 million years old.
