Facts

Ciovo is a small island in Central Dalmatia, 25 km from Split and 7 km form Split airport, facing the Adriatic. The island is 28.8 km2, approx. 15.3 km long and 3.5 km wide. The highest point on the island is Peak Rudine which is 218 m. There lives just  a little over 6,000 on Ciovo, during summer twice as many.

The main town of Ciovo is Trogir. Trogir is situated both on the mainland and on the small island you drive across to get to Ciovo. The small island between the mainland and Ciovo has plenty of restautrants along the Riviera. Every day you will find the market, where the locals sell everything from food to souvenirs and beachwear. Trogir is a small medieval town where the original houses and streets have been very will preserved and where the newly renovated Riviera is in beautiful contrast to the old town.

Okrug Gornji is situated in the middle of Ciovo.There are several supermarkets, a bakery, bank, post office, pharmacy and restaturants in different price points. Okrug Gornji is situated approx. 1 km. from the apartment.

Okrug Beach which is very close to Okrug Gornji is Ciovos "Copacabana". The beach is very child friendly and cordoned off with a grid so you can swim in peace of surferes, water scooters and speed boats.

The apartment is on the southern part of Ciovo toward Okrug Donji. The apartment is approx. 4 km from Trogir and 8 km from Split airport. The weather and the landscape are typical Mediterranean and you come to think of the Greek islands - you also find lots of olive grooves and cypresses that characteriize the vegetation in and around the Mediterranean.
